Finaly I have something emotive to write about.

I came home last night to the sad news that the great man who wrote the script to whichI did his first ever LD to has died. Jim was a Dylan, Cohen and theatre lover much like myself.  He has lit some of the great productions of all time such as Arthur Daily’s The Crucible. In late 2007 I had the honour of lighting one of Jim’s plays, The Land of Stuff, unfortunately I will never know what he thought of my design but i was quite proud of my first venture into the unknown. Jim’s  long fight with cancer was ended yesterday, but his memory will live on through many generations of the watford youth arts club. I would love to use one of Jims monologues from The Land of Stuff but dont know if i can bring myself to.

Right ok back earlier than i though.
Score reading class was quite good, late start today so not much to write about. already know how to do a markup so sort of trotted through that, but the refresher on blocking was good. Still dont like blogging, I’m quite happy to put an outline of what i thought about the class, but unfortunately my thoughts are still my own, so thats where there gonna stay. or possibly in my personal journal.

Tuesday 27th January

Right first post,
Yesterday was pretty good day. John started with his “How can we make this better?” slogan, which he did, as we were finished earlier than last years class. The wilderness task was a good laugh but did have a serious point. Propping on the phone was also fun, but its meaning was more obvious. I enjoyed the class as a whole especialy ”Rimrocking” but still not getting into the blogging thing, still prefer my own personal journal.
